Liquid is a collective and a chosen family of queer artists, musicians, performers, dj’s and event producers based in Helsinki. We have a shared desire for safer, radical, softer and more inclusive platforms and events. Working in the gaps that art institutions and the commercial club scene leave unfulfilled. Parties, clubs and chosen families have been places of refuge and joy for BIPOC and Queer people for decades.
We want to remember parties as a political act, by questioning and unbuilding hierarchies, and unjust structures that we have previously perceived as stagnant. Politics don’t only happen through laws and institutions. It is also about gestures and narratives, it's about how we live our lives, what access we have and what doors are open. That is why we have the desire to create room for a wide variety of queer voices, bodies and experiences while moving towards the experience of collective joy.
We want to make room for community, solidarity and safety while empowering everyone who participates. Being actively critical and aware of our position in the world, we are committed to creating events that support variety, intimacy and diversity.

Let’s step into a queer space, get connected and enjoy ourselves since that is what we truly deserve✨We feel the need to create safer spaces where queer people and allies can come together and celebrate their identities in many unique forms while being safe. We offer an opportunity to reinvent a safer, kinder and intersectional approach on how to relate to each other, have fun and contribute to this shared dream come true.This is essential since we are living in a society where the structures are based on exploitation, unequal competition and discrimination. Making the change requires active reflection, anti-racist action radical trust and work.Please read through these safer space guidelines if you’re attending the event and make sure that the people you come with have read them.

Celebration of LIFE, also know as PRIDE! Queer liberation 247, also on 1.7.!!!We have another party ready for your lovely queer and queer-friendly realities to co-exist with others. Bring in friendly and community caring energy. Remembering our personal motivation to why we gather; for example:
to celebrate Queerness and pride, to radically move our bodies together, come together and seek/experience a communal affirmation, support local queer artists, feel secure&safe while wildin’, supporting and holding the space for each other
And last but not at ALL least;
Love.We make up the space ourselves and for each other. We together find out what the communal space needs. So partying together can be manifesting a utopia.

”Pride is still a protest.
Queer lives have been for long time in a state of systematic suffocation. It has required a big amount of bravery, community organization and strong will for queer liberation.
Along the way, we unfortunately have lost many beautiful queer family members. It is still a struggle and a life risk for many LGBTQ people around the world to be recognized and given equal human rights. The path for queer liberation was made possible by our ancestors, who were black, migrant, trans and sex workers. Pride is still very needed. We still need to make noise and take space! If you enjoy queer celebration, then also support queer rights. Because we have a lot to work on outside this queer-joy. Not only consumption, but more participation.
So let's channel this ancestral anger and joy and shake our fury into collective action. By moving, connecting and enabling pleasure together.

Little different from main liquid events, people from outside of the bubble, bigger and tastier soup probably. BUT FIRST OF ALL it’s a queer space and will make space for queer representation, by leaning to the shared responsibilities and community care/care of organizers and safety volunteers.

Liquid<3 welcome’s you deeper, to a little safe shrine, into an old limestone quarry that is. A temporary shelter from the constant rumbling of the outside world and into the rumbling of the bass.
Free from the everyday life of judging and tightly defining boxes.
We make up the space ourselves and for each other. We together find out what the communal space needs. So partying together can be manifesting a utopia.

In addition to liquid performers, we have invited a fluid group of local artists to excite your senses. So prepare your body for loud music, enchanting rhythms and a joyous celebration of our queer excistance<333

S summer is hot but the forest is chilly by the night. Wear something warm but feel free to bring out all the colours of your queerness. +++ Remember to bring a water bottle. We heard that; Taking care of the moving body scientifically improves your happiness levels.
We have a cozy kiosk with snacks/drinks and merch!

Starting 00:00 we are facilitating Queer Open decks so you only need to bring your stick, your music and if needed there will be someone helping out.

There is a soft space that is less sensory irritating where you can curl up and wind down. The tent will be a cozy place with blankets and pillows. Please respect the calm atmosphere that is created there for the people in need <3

Liquid<3 is back for one more event to finish off the summer!✨✨
🌻Oasis of Care is a temporary bubble for queer healing. The easy breezy moment of summer. It’s about making time for love and resistance.
We want to offer a space filled with radical tenderness and pleasure.
🌸After all the intensive body shaking parties we want to invite you to wind down, just us under the trees and the sun.
Let’s take care of ourselves, of each other and our surroundings. Maybe lay down in the grass, read some queer zines, pimp your clothes to be leo season ready, dive into a ball pond, reflect with tarot. You can join for a drink, a bite and a chat or just to be surrounded by cuties.
🐞The event includes food (vegan gluten free) and drinks for free, but we have some lovely people selling their crafts so bring some cash ⁽⁽◝( •௰• )◜⁾⁾

Accessibility :
There is an accessible toilet in the Roihuvuori library, approximately 400 meters from the event spot.
The event is in a park and the spot is on a flat grass field next to a walking path. The closest bus station is called Roihuvuorentie and it’s approximately 200m away from the event spot.
We’ll bring some chairs to sit down. You can find them at the kiosk.
